MSMT to support research centres with over CZK 1 bln /17. 08. 2010/
The Education Ministry approved the support for the construction and/or reconstruction of three more research centres from the Research and Development for Innovations Operating Programme in the course of July. A total of over CZK 1 bn will be divided among the South Bohemian University in Ceske Budejovice, Palacky University in Olomouc and the Brno University of Technology.
The ministry’s Jan Vitula has said that the ministry has so far supported 14 projects by regional research centres and European excellence centres with a total of over CZK 7 bln. The South Bohemian University has received a subsidy of over CZK 270 mln for the reconstruction and expansion of the fishing and molecular biology research. The Centre of Sensorial, Information and Communication System of the Brno University of Technology has received almost CZK 300 mln. The Palacky University Olomouc will use the subsidy of over CZK 500 mln to build the Regional Research Centre of Advanced Technologies and Materials.
